Aqua-eegg will proactively alert you on your smart phone with an automatic notification when you need to adjust your pool or hot tub's chemicals. This monitoring service will let you know exactly how much of which chemicals need to be added. With Aqua-eegg you never need to worry about over chlorinated or out of water balance ever again. Aqua-eegg Uses New Sensor Technology
Aqua-eegg uses patented biosensor technology to monitor pool water quality directly without any reagents. The sensor can typically last 3 to 6 months depending on application scenarios and is easily replaceable.
1. Aqua-eegg directly monitor the concentration of hydrochlorous acid (HOCl) or active chlorine in your pool water, which is the accurate measure of killing power to keep your water safe.
2. The active chlorine measured here is different from the free chlorine measured by conventional methods such as test stripes, DPD or colorimetric methods. Therefore do not compare the ppm measured by Aqua-eegg with lab tests of free chlorine.
3. The healthy range of active chlorine is 0.3~1ppm roughly corresponding to free chlorine range of 1-3ppm.
4. In fact, conventional tests of free chlorine does not reflect the actual disinfection power of water, because cyanuric acid and pH variation in water etc can significantly affect its actual disinfection power.
